CLASSX™ Colors - RED - Leaf Switch Compatible Button

I purchased this button with the True-Leaf switch option to replace a standard Happ microswitch button. I've been active in this hobby for about a year now, and I learned the difference between standard microswitches and more traditional leaf-switches, which is what was used during the early 80s (and on all the classics I used to play). I decided to try these out because on some games, the 'press-and-click for action' functionality of some of the microswitches just didn't feel right. There was no real bounce to the action, especially in rapid fire situations. When my button came in, I swapped it out for a microswitch button on my control panel (easy to switch, uses the same holes, and the removable bottom allows for easier, precise positioning of the extended leaf switch), and fired up Galaga, one of those games that just didn't feel right trying to rapid fire. Let me just say that the difference was between night and day! I could now rapid fire without frantically pushing down on the button. I could just tap with my finger to rapidly get shots off. My own personal test was on the challenge stage (the third one). While in the double ship combo mode, I was able to hit every single alien swarm that came down in a easy manner- which wasn't the case with regular microswitches. I tested these out with other games, and found that the improvement made a huge difference. My plan is now to swap out all my buttons for these ClassX buttons with True-Leaf switches. I love the old-school arcade feel of these, and it has breathed new life into some of my favorite classic games.
